What is 1RX?

1RX is delivery management software built for local pharmacies by a former pharmacist-owner (6 pharmacies under 3 banners). It replaces the paper logbook and the "where is my delivery?" calls with a complete workflow, from the counter to the patient's door.

In concrete terms, 1RX lets you:

  • Create a delivery in about ten seconds, entirely by keyboard: the client, their usual address, and their usual payment method fill in automatically.
  • Assign routes automatically: each new delivery goes to the closest driver and is inserted at the best spot in their route, with no zigzagging across town.
  • Notify patients by text message at every step: delivery scheduled, driver on the way, arrival time. Smart arrival times learn your real delivery times, address by address, and factors in the driver and the weather.
  • Equip your drivers with a mobile app with real-time tracking on a map.
  • Do your cash reconciliation at the end of the day using reports: amounts collected per driver, in cash, by card, and on account.

The result: you deliver more, you call less, and your patients know what time their delivery will arrive. It all comes with a 45-day free trial at 1rx.ca.

Why choose 1RX? What sets us apart

People often ask us "what makes you better?" Rather than talking about others, here is what 1RX actually does:

  • Arrival times, calculated for real. Most competitors guess. 1RX learns your real delivery times — address by address — and adjusts on its own, based on history, the driver, and the weather. Each patient gets a precise time, not a four-hour window. This is unique in the industry.
  • No per-delivery fees. One flat monthly rate, whether you deliver ten times or a hundred times a day; only text messages beyond your plan's allowance are billed per message. The amounts are in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.
  • Built by a former pharmacist-owner — 6 pharmacies under 3 banners — who built the delivery tool he wished he'd had.
  • Local and compliant: available in French and English, designed for the reality of local pharmacies, hosted in Canada, Law 25 compliant, SSL/TLS encrypted.
  • Risk-free to try: a 45-day trial with all the features, no credit card, set up in about 5 minutes.

The goal is simple: you deliver more and take fewer calls. And the best way to compare us is still to test 1RX with your real deliveries.

Is 1RX right for my pharmacy?

1RX is for local pharmacies that deliver — whatever their size or volume. The software is available in French and English, designed for your reality, and the data is hosted in Canada.

  • Already delivering with a notebook or phone calls? The Essential plan replaces paper: dashboard, client management, optimized routes, history, and reports.
  • Do you have drivers on the road? The Premium plan adds the driver app, real-time tracking on a map, and text messages to patients.
  • Want the full patient experience? The Ultimate plan adds smart arrival times: each patient gets their precise arrival time first thing in the morning.

Plans are detailed in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

Independent or under a banner? Both. 1RX handles delivery logistics, not the medication record: it adds to your current tools without replacing anything. In fact, its founder, a former pharmacist-owner, ran 6 pharmacies under 3 different banners. And if you have several locations, multi-pharmacy is supported.

If in doubt, the 45-day free trial — no credit card, set up in 5 minutes — is still the simplest way to check that 1RX is a fit for your pharmacy.

Quick answers to pharmacies' frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get started? Your workspace is ready the moment you sign up (or within a few minutes if you choose a custom address), and initial setup takes about 5 minutes. You can deliver the same day.

Is it a good fit for a small pharmacy? Yes. The plans match the stage you're at — from paperless internal management to the full experience with drivers and text messages. Details are in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

Can I try it risk-free? Yes: 45 days, all features, no credit card. Text messages only reach patients whose consent is recorded (a test mode is also offered in Settings → SMS), and a 7-day grace period follows the trial.

What about my existing data? Entering data in 1RX is very fast (clients and addresses are validated automatically). For a data transfer from another tool, write to us through the Contact page: we'll work out the best approach with you.

Can I change plans? You choose your plan in your settings. For a change during your subscription, see the Terms of Use or write to us through the Contact page.

Another question? This site's assistant answers right away, and the Contact page connects you with a human, usually within one business day.

Getting started and free trial

How do I sign up my pharmacy for 1RX?

Signing up is done online at 1rx.ca, in a few minutes and with no commitment.

  1. Choose a plan (the 45-day free trial is offered by default, no credit card required) and monthly or annual billing. With a promotional code, the offer's plan is selected automatically and the offer replaces the free trial (immediate billing at the promotional rate).
  2. Fill in your contact information: pharmacy name, contact person's name, administrator email (this will be your login ID), phone number, working language, and pharmacy address.
  3. Choose your 1RX address (for example my-pharmacy.1rx.ca): every pharmacy picks its own personalized address — availability is checked while you type, and your workspace is ready in a few minutes.

As soon as your workspace is active, you receive a welcome email (in French or English, based on your choice) with your workspace address and your administrator credentials. Four employee accounts are already created for you — two drivers and two staff members — and you set their passwords in Settings. You can create as many additional accounts as you need.

At your first login, you are guided step by step through configuring and using the application (a few questions, under 5 minutes); the guide stays available at any time from the Help Center. If the welcome email doesn't reach you, contact us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca.

How does the 45-day free trial work?

The free trial lasts 45 days and gives you access to all features, including everything in the Ultimate plan: deliveries, optimized routes, driver app, text message notifications, and smart arrival times. No credit card is required at signup — you create your account, your workspace is ready, and you start delivering.

The trial takes place in your real workspace, with your real clients and your real deliveries: it's not a throwaway demo. For text messages, your patients receive nothing without an explicit consent recorded client by client; and if you want to try everything risk-free, a test mode (Settings → SMS) redirects every message to your own number while it is on.

When the 45 days are up, you simply choose the plan that suits you from your settings. Your data doesn't disappear all at once: a 7-day grace period follows the end of the trial, giving you time to complete your choice. When you subscribe, you pick up exactly where you left off — same address, same clients, same history.

Special case — promotional code: a promotional offer replaces the free trial period (one promotion per account). It is always calibrated to beat the trial, but billing at the promotional rate starts immediately, as soon as payment is activated, and the offer applies to the plan it designates (monthly billing).

Plan on about 5 minutes for the initial setup. The plans and what they include are detailed in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

What equipment do I need to use 1RX?

Very little: 1RX is cloud software, so there is nothing to install at the pharmacy.

  • At the counter: a computer with a modern web browser and an Internet connection is all you need. The interface is built for the keyboard, so you can create and process deliveries quickly between clients.
  • For drivers: one phone per driver, iPhone or Android — the day's route, GPS navigation to each stop, proof of delivery, and tracking of amounts collected. The iPhone version is free on the App Store (1Rx Driver); the Android version downloads directly from aide.1rx.ca/app/android/en/. A driver interface you can open in a browser is also available, useful as a fallback on any phone.
  • Printing: no specialized printer is required. If you already use a Zebra label printer, 1RX can optionally connect to it to print delivery labels; this feature is off by default and can be turned on in the settings.

Client addresses are validated and geolocated automatically as you type them in, with no extra equipment. No server, no local installation, and no hardware contract needed: if your current workstation can browse the web, it's ready for 1RX. That's also what makes the initial setup take about 5 minutes after signing up.

How do you get started with 1RX? Do you have to migrate data?

Getting started with 1RX is not an IT project: you sign up online, your workspace is ready in a few minutes, and initial setup takes about 5 minutes. There is nothing to install — a browser at the counter is enough, and no connection to another system is required.

For your clients, two paths:

  • As deliveries happen: you create the client's record at their first delivery; their address is validated and geolocated automatically. From the second delivery on, everything fills in on its own.
  • AI import: you already have a client list — on paper, in a photo, or in a PDF? 1RX can extract the client records from it automatically, so you don't have to retype everything.

The 45-day trial takes place in your real workspace, with your real clients and your real deliveries — not a throwaway demo. Text messages work from day one, but no patient receives anything without a recorded consent; a test mode (Settings → SMS) also lets you try everything by redirecting messages to your own number.

At your first login, a two-minute getting-started guide walks you through, and employee accounts are already created for you (see "How do I sign up my pharmacy for 1RX?"). If you have questions while getting started, the Help Center and the 1RX team are there.

Do you need training to use 1RX?

No — no formal training session is needed. 1RX is designed to be picked up right at the counter: initial setup takes about 5 minutes, and the interface, built for the keyboard, follows the moves your team already makes.

You learn inside the app, at your own pace:

  • A two-minute getting started guide welcomes you at your first login and can be restarted at any time from the Help Center.
  • Short tutorial videos show real actions in the software: creating a delivery, managing clients, tracking a route.
  • A quick reference gathers answers to common questions and the keyboard shortcuts.
  • The 1RX assistant answers your questions about the product, plans, and signing up right away.

And when a question calls for a human, open a support ticket from the Help Center: every ticket gets a human reply. Even before you become a client, you can write to us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca — with a reply usually within one business day.

Features

How do smart arrival times work?

Smart arrival times are the promise at the heart of 1RX: your patients know what time their delivery will arrive. In the morning, each patient gets a text message with the expected arrival time — a precise time, like "around 2:20 p.m.", not a four-hour window.

How is that possible? The system learns your real delivery times, address by address. It takes into account the history of your deliveries, the driver running the route that day, and the weather, then adjusts on its own, with no tuning on your part. The more you deliver, the more accurate it gets.

That is what sets us apart: most competitors guess, 1RX learns. To our knowledge, this self-improving, address-by-address accuracy is unique in the industry.

Smart arrival times are accurate from the moment you turn them on — no break-in period needed. They're part of the Ultimate plan — and the 45-day free trial includes them. Plan details are in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

How does 1RX optimize delivery routes?

No more zigzagging across town. 1RX calculates your routes to cut drive time and mileage: stops are placed in the right order, automatically, without anyone having to play dispatcher.

In practice:

  • Automatic assignment: each new delivery goes to the closest driver and is inserted at the best spot in their route, without shuffling the stops already planned. You create the delivery, the system handles the rest.
  • One or more drivers: if you have several, the work is split between them and each one gets their own route.
  • Anyone can use it: no logistics expertise required. Your drivers simply see their stops in the right order, with GPS navigation to each one.

The benefit is twofold: fewer kilometers and less time on the road for the same number of deliveries — and more reliable arrival times for your patients, since estimated arrival times are based on well-ordered routes.

Automatic route optimization is available starting with the Premium plan; the Ultimate plan makes it unlimited, even mid-route. The Essential plan supports manual batches and routes. Details are in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

What does the 1RX driver app do?

The driver app turns any phone into a route tool. It comes in two native versions that do exactly the same thing: iPhone, free on the App Store (1Rx Driver, install guide: aide.1rx.ca/app/ios/en/), and Android, a direct download from aide.1rx.ca/app/android/en/ (outside the Play Store). A browser-based interface is also available as a fallback on any phone.

What the driver finds in it:

  • Their route for the day, in optimized order, with the address and instructions for each stop.
  • The "I'm leaving" button: when leaving the pharmacy, one tap notifies the route's patients by text message, with an arrival time calculated from the actual departure.
  • GPS navigation to each stop, launched with one tap in their maps app.
  • Proof of delivery and tracking of amounts collected (cash, card), for simple cash reconciliation at the end of the day.

On your side, at the counter, you follow your drivers' progress in real time on a map: you know what has been delivered, what is coming up, and you can answer a patient who calls in a few seconds — or better yet, they stop calling back, since they already got their arrival time.

The driver app and real-time tracking are available starting with the Premium plan; see the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

How do the text messages sent to patients work?

1RX notifies your patients by text message, automatically, at each step of the delivery:

  • In the morning (Ultimate plan): the day's expected arrival time, calculated by smart arrival times.
  • At departure: the driver leaves the pharmacy, and the patient knows their delivery is on the way.
  • "Next on the list": the patient is the next stop.
  • On arrival: the delivery is there.

Fewer "where is my delivery?" calls, and more patients at the door at the right time.

Three important guarantees:

  1. Consent: patients get text messages only if they have agreed to them — explicit, optional consent, collected by the pharmacy and time-stamped. Every message lets them reply STOP to unsubscribe, or HELP for support.
  2. Never any health information: no medication names or diagnoses in the messages — delivery information only.
  3. Test mode: available in Settings → SMS — while it is on, every message is redirected to your test number, letting you try everything without any SMS going out to real patients.

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of text messages; beyond that, messages are billed per message. Details are in the Pricing section and the SMS Consent page of 1rx.ca.

Security and privacy

Where is my data hosted and how is it protected?

Your data is hosted in Canada and backed up continuously. All exchanges are encrypted (SSL/TLS), access is controlled through accounts and roles, and activity is logged. 1RX complies with PIPEDA (the federal law, applicable across Canada) as well as the applicable provincial laws, including Quebec's Law 25, and meets the requirements of health-information laws (such as PHIPA in Ontario) when acting as a service provider to your pharmacy.

1RX manages delivery logistics, not the pharmacological record. The information processed is limited to what's needed to deliver: recipient name, address, phone number, and delivery instructions. No health information (medication name, diagnosis) is required to use the service, and none is sent in the text messages to patients.

On the text message side, the program complies with Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL): patient consent is explicit, optional, and collected by the pharmacy at the point of service, then time-stamped for audit purposes. Every message lets the patient reply STOP to unsubscribe immediately, or HELP to get support. Mobile phone information is never sold or shared for promotional purposes.

The full details are in the Privacy Policy and the SMS Consent page, available at the bottom of every page on 1rx.ca.

How does 1RX protect my patients' privacy?

1RX follows a simple principle: collect only what's needed to deliver. Recipient name, address, phone number, and delivery instructions — that's it. No health information (medication name, diagnosis) is required to use the service, and none is ever included in the text messages sent to patients.

In practice:

  • Consent: text messages are optional, explicitly consented to by the patient with the pharmacy, time-stamped for audit purposes, and revocable at any time (reply STOP).
  • No resale: mobile phone information is never sold or shared for promotional purposes, and patient data is never used for marketing.
  • Limited providers: only the providers strictly needed to run the service process data, on our behalf and under our instructions.
  • Protection: hosted in Canada, encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), access controlled through accounts and roles, activity logging. Compliant with PIPEDA (federal), the applicable provincial laws — including Quebec's Law 25 — and CASL; requirements of health-information laws (such as PHIPA in Ontario) are met when 1RX acts as a service provider to your pharmacy.

Your patients can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and the SMS Consent page, at the bottom of every page on 1rx.ca.

What equipment do you need, and what happens if the internet goes down?

On the equipment side, you need very little: a computer with a modern web browser at the counter, one phone per driver, iPhone or Android (a backup web interface works on any phone), and, only as an option, a Zebra label printer. There's nothing to install: 1RX is cloud-based software.

To be fully transparent, this also means an internet connection is required to work in 1RX; we don't promise an offline mode.

If your connection goes down:

  • Your data is not lost. It's hosted in Canada and backed up continuously — nothing depends on your local workstation.
  • Any connected device gets you back in right away: another workstation, a tablet, or a phone used as a hotspot.
  • On the road, the driver app uses the phone's cellular network, independent of the pharmacy's internet.

As soon as your connection comes back, you pick up exactly where you left off. For equipment details, see "What equipment do I need to use 1RX?"; for a specific situation, write to us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca.

Is 1RX available in French and English?

Yes. 1RX is designed here, for local pharmacies — by a former pharmacist-owner — and works in both French and English.

  • Your working language (French or English) is chosen right at signup; your welcome email arrives in the language you chose.
  • Your patients reply to text messages in the language of their choice: STOP to unsubscribe, HELP to get support.
  • The help is bilingual too: tutorial videos are available in French and English.

The product is built for the reality of local pharmacies: addresses are validated and geolocated automatically as you type them, data is hosted in Canada, and the service complies with Quebec's Law 25 as well as PIPEDA.

For any question about the language of service or a specific language need on your team, write to us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca — we usually reply within one business day.

Alberta pharmacies: privacy impact assessment (PIA) template

In Alberta, the Health Information Act (section 64) requires the pharmacy, as custodian, to submit a privacy impact assessment (PIA) to the OIPC before implementing a new system that involves health information — which includes a delivery management platform like 1Rx.

To make this easier, we provide a free, pre-filled PIA template that follows the official Alberta Health template for community-based custodians. The sections describing the system are already completed: information processed (and what 1Rx does not process — no Personal Health Numbers, no prescriptions), data hosted in Canada, information flows with the HIA legal authorities, safeguards, and the risk mitigation plan. The pharmacy completes its own sections (internal policies, staff training, access controls) and attaches its policies.

The template is available at aide.1rx.ca/pia-alberta — readable online, printable, and downloadable in Word format so you can fill it in.

Good to know: since October 1, 2024, the OIPC no longer "approves" PIAs — it reviews them and issues a closing letter with comments and recommendations. The template is practical help, not legal advice: the pharmacy remains responsible for its submission. Questions? Write to us — we are happy to help.

Plans and pricing

What plans are offered and where can I see the prices?

1RX offers three plans, plus the free trial. Up-to-date prices are shown in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca — each plan is detailed there with its monthly price and its price with an annual commitment (more advantageous).

  • Essential — the basics, in-house: delivery dashboard, client and patient management, batches and routes, history and reports. To manage your deliveries without paper.
  • Premium — for pharmacies with drivers on the road: everything in Essential, plus the mobile driver app, automatic daily route optimization, real-time tracking on a map, the departure notification, and 500 text messages per month included (additional text messages billed per message, at the rate shown on 1rx.ca, the following month).
  • Ultimate — the complete experience: everything in Premium, plus unlimited route optimization (even mid-route), a dedicated phone number for your text messages, the automatically transcribed order voicemail (medication names recognized reliably), and precise per-address arrival times (the system learns your real delivery times and adjusts) with the morning notification to the patient.

Billing is monthly or annual: the annual commitment gives a reduced monthly price, shown in the Pricing section. A pharmacy promo code applies to monthly billing only.

The 45-day trial gives access to all features, no credit card required. Multi-pharmacy is supported. For a specific need, write to us through the Contact page.

Can I use 1RX for multiple pharmacies or locations?

Yes: multi-pharmacy is supported by 1RX.

Each registered pharmacy gets its own workspace, with its own address (for example my-pharmacy.1rx.ca), its own clients, drivers, routes, and reports. That keeps each location's data separate and clear: one location's routes and cash reconciliation never mix with another's.

In fact, 1RX was designed by a former pharmacist-owner who ran 6 pharmacies under 3 banners — the reality of groups and multiple locations is part of the product's DNA.

If you run several locations and want to organize the whole setup (number of workspaces, configuration, billing), write to us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca: we'll suggest the arrangement best suited to your group, with a reply usually within one business day. Per-pharmacy prices are listed in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

Is there a commitment, and what happens if I don't continue?

The 45-day free trial comes with no commitment and no credit card: if 1RX isn't right for you, you simply don't have to do anything.

After that, you choose between two options:

  • Monthly billing — you pay month to month.
  • Annual commitment — a reduced monthly price on every plan, shown in the Pricing section of 1rx.ca.

At the end of the trial, a 7-day grace period gives you time to choose your plan; when you subscribe, you keep all your data and pick up exactly where you left off. If you decide not to continue, your information is then deleted or anonymized, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The detailed subscription terms are in the Terms of Use, available at the bottom of every page on 1rx.ca. For a specific situation (plan change, pause, billing question), write to us through the Contact page: a human usually replies within one business day.

Contact us

How do I reach the 1RX team and what support is offered?

Even before becoming a client, you can write to us through the Contact page at 1rx.ca: we usually reply within one business day, and it's a human who answers you. This site's assistant can also answer your questions about the product, plans, and signing up right away.

Once your pharmacy is signed up, support is built right into the app, through the Help Center:

  • Support tickets: describe your question (technical, billing, suggestion, bug), attach a screenshot if needed, then follow the conversation with the 1RX team in "My tickets". Every ticket gets a human reply.
  • Getting-started guide: the essential actions and initial setup, replayable at any time.
  • Tutorial videos: short captioned demonstrations of real actions in the software.
  • Quick reference and keyboard shortcuts: answers to common questions (creating a delivery, managing clients, route assignment, text messages), always in the same place.

Your patients have their own channel too: every notification text message lets them reply HELP to get support or STOP to unsubscribe, with nothing to do on your part.

Staff guide — Creating and managing deliveries

How do I create a delivery?

Creating a delivery takes about 10 seconds, entirely from the keyboard.

  1. In the Deliveries view, click "+ New" or press the + key. The form opens, with the cursor already in the client search.
  2. Type the first few letters of the name (2 letters are enough), select the client with the arrow keys, then press Enter. Their address, phone number, and usual payment method fill in automatically.
  3. The cursor moves to the schedule: A = "Morning", P = "Afternoon", N = "Evening". You can also type a specific time using the number keys (for example, 14 then 30 for 2:30 p.m.).
  4. Enter takes you to the amount to collect. Type it in, then press Enter.
  5. Choose the payment method: 7 = "Cash", 8 = "On account", 9 = "Card".
  6. If needed, add "Delivery notes" for the driver or preparation instructions (the "Add an instruction..." field + Enter).
  7. Press F9 (or click "Save"). The delivery appears in the list right away, with the status "In preparation".

If the type doesn't fit, choose "Pickup" instead of "Delivery", and check "Refrigerated" for items from the fridge (a blue snowflake appears on the row).

The client doesn't exist yet: how do I create them without leaving the delivery?

No need to open the directory: you can create a client directly while creating a delivery.

  1. Open a new delivery (the + key or "+ New") and type the client's full name into the "Search for a client" field anyway.
  2. If no result matches, click "Create a new client" (or press the + key from the search field).
  3. A small form opens: the first and last name are already taken from your search. Fill in the rest as needed (phone, address).
  4. If a similar client already exists, a duplicate alert offers to "Use" the existing client — click it to avoid creating a duplicate.
  5. Click "Create and select": the client is created and the delivery continues with them.

Client search works as soon as you type 2 letters; navigate the results with the arrow keys and select with Enter or Tab.

You can complete the file later in the "Clients" directory: additional addresses, phone numbers, SMS consent, GPS stop point.

See also: How do I create a delivery?, How to manage the client directory (profile, addresses, phone numbers)?, How do client SMS and consent work?

What do delivery statuses mean and how do I change them?

A delivery moves through these statuses:

  • "In preparation": newly created, being prepared at the lab.
  • "Ready to deliver": prepared, waiting for a driver.
  • "Out for delivery": the driver has taken charge of it and is on the way.
  • "Delivered": handed to the customer.
  • "Returning": returned to the pharmacy (customer absent, refusal, etc.).
  • "Cancelled": cancelled.

There are several ways to change a status:

  1. On the row, the "Ready" button moves a delivery from "In preparation" to "Ready to deliver" in one click.
  2. With the keyboard: select a row with the arrow keys, then P = ready, L = delivered, R = returned. The update is instant.
  3. By opening the delivery (click the row or press E): status buttons are available in the form, then "Save".
  4. In the counter queue (F4): keys P, L, and R on the selected row.

The day's recurring deliveries carry an orange "Recurring" badge: click "Confirm" (and enter the amount if paying by cash or card) to move them to "Ready to deliver".

The "x/y delivered" ratio and the progress dots at the top of the list update automatically.

What are the keyboard shortcuts?

The Deliveries view can be driven entirely from the keyboard:

  • Up/Down arrows: move the highlighted row in the list (from the search box, the Down arrow or Enter drops down to the first row).
  • E: open the selected delivery to edit it.
  • P: mark "Ready to deliver"; L: mark "Delivered"; R: mark "Returning".
  • +: new delivery (also works from the search bar).
  • F3: put the cursor in the search box, from wherever you are. Typing a letter from a row also writes directly into the search box.
  • F4: open the full-screen queue (Cashier mode).

In the delivery form:

  • A = "Morning", P = "Afternoon", N = "Evening"; the number keys enter a specific time.
  • 7 = "Cash", 8 = "On account", 9 = "Card" for the payment method.
  • F9: save; Esc: close; Tab/Enter: move to the next field.

Anywhere in the application:

  • F8 or Ctrl+Q: quick logout.

The full table is shown inside the application: click the keyboard icon in the header, or check the Help Center (the "?" icon).

See also: How do I create a delivery?, How do I use the counter queue (F4)?, What do delivery statuses mean and how do I change them?

How do I use the counter queue (F4)?

The queue is a full-screen view designed for handing orders to clients at the counter, without a mouse.

  1. From the Deliveries view, press F4 (that's the only way in — there's no button). The "Queue — Cashier mode" screen opens with the "In preparation", "Ready" and "Priority" counters.
  2. The queue holds today's deliveries that are in preparation or ready, with the ready ones first. It refreshes automatically every 30 seconds.
  3. Move with the up/down arrow keys (the active row is highlighted in blue) or click a row.
  4. P key (or the "READY" button): the order moves to "Ready to deliver", the row turns green and rises to the top.
  5. L key (or the "DELIVERED" button): the client leaves with their bag and the row disappears from the queue.
  6. R key (or the "RETURN" button): the delivery leaves the queue as a return.
  7. Esc (or the back arrow at the top left) takes you back to the Deliveries view.

Visual cues: a red row flags a payment to collect (the amount is highlighted), and the "REFRIGERATED" badge marks products from the fridge. When everything is handled, the screen shows "All deliveries are handled!".

Staff guide — Drivers and routes

How are deliveries assigned to drivers?

Delivery assignment is automatic: there is no button to click.

How it works:

  1. The first time you open the Deliveries view each day, the system runs a full optimization: all of the day's deliveries are split across your active drivers to produce the shortest routes. This full optimization runs only once per day.
  2. After that, each new delivery you create is automatically inserted into the nearest driver's route, without changing the order of the existing stops. Allow about 3 seconds: the "Driver" column fills in on its own.

The only setup required: declare your route boxes and their time slots (the "Drivers and boxes" banner in the Deliveries view, or "Settings" > "Route boxes" for the administrator). With no active box for the current time slot, nothing is assigned. In the morning, deliveries scheduled for the afternoon are deferred to the afternoon route.

To take over manually: click "Selection", check off some deliveries, then "Assign" and choose one or more drivers. With multiple drivers, the deliveries are split for the shortest total route.

Automatic assignment applies only to today's date.

How do I manage the route boxes and their time slots?

Your routes are built on "boxes" (Box 1, Box 2…) with time slots. Lab staff place deliveries in the boxes — concretely, the morning split puts them there automatically — and a driver automatically takes a free box on their first login of the day: they inherit its deliveries, in the app and on the road.

Day to day, in the Deliveries view ("Drivers and boxes" banner):

  1. Switch between "AM" and "PM" to see the boxes for each time slot.
  2. Click "Add" to add a box for the day (maximum 4).
  3. The trash icon removes a box for the day — refused if it still holds assigned deliveries.
  4. Click a box's badge to filter the list to its route; the "x/y delivered" counter tracks its progress. A green badge means a logged-in driver has taken the box.

Durable configuration, admin only ("Settings" > "Route boxes"):

  • "Add box": create a box with its name and time slots (Morning, Afternoon, Day).
  • Click the time-slot chips to enable or disable them (saved immediately).
  • Set the box's "Departure" time (it anchors the estimated arrival times).
  • "Rename", reorder (arrows) or "Delete" a box.

These boxes are the foundation of automatic assignment: without an active box for the current time slot, no delivery is assigned.

How do the driver view and the "I'm leaving" button work?

The "Driver" view shows the current driver's route for the day, already sorted in the right order.

Taking your route:

  1. On the first login of the day, the driver automatically takes a free box (toast "Route taken") and inherits its deliveries.
  2. A blue banner shows "N delivery(ies) assigned": click "Take charge of my deliveries", then confirm. The message states "X ready delivery(ies)" and, where applicable, "Y not ready yet — you'll take them later".
  3. A delivery with no driver can also be taken individually with the "Take" button in the Deliveries tab.

The "I'm leaving — notify clients" button:

When leaving the pharmacy, the driver taps this blue button and confirms. The estimated arrival times are recomputed from now, then each client subscribed to SMS receives an "on the way" message with an arrival window of at most 40 minutes around their estimated arrival time — never in the past: if the departure is later than expected, the start of the window is brought forward to the departure time. The result is shown: "X client(s) notified · Y not subscribed". A client never receives two departure texts for the same delivery.

On the road: "Optimize" reorders the route; the "Delivered" and "Return" buttons complete each stop (signature or photo if required); "Driving Mode" shows a giant 4-button interface (DELIVERED, RETURN, CALL, GPS). "Transfer", "Take a route" and "Swap" handle the unexpected between colleagues.

What do the expected arrival times mean?

The "Est. arrival" column in the Deliveries view shows the expected arrival time for each of the day's deliveries, in the format "~HH:MM".

How to read it:

  • The colour reflects the confidence of the estimate: green (70% and up), yellow (40% and up), grey (more uncertain).
  • Hover over the value to see the arrival window, the confidence percentage and the departure time used.
  • The estimates refresh automatically about every 15 minutes, and are recalculated when the driver taps "I'm leaving".

The header also shows the day's weather (temperature, conditions, road conditions): it affects the duration and confidence of the estimates.

To turn on or adjust these features (in "Settings" > "Pharmacy" tab > "Estimates & Weather" section):

  1. Turn on "Enable arrival time estimates" and, if you like, "Show weather on dashboard".
  2. Set the morning departure time and, if applicable, the afternoon period with its time: these times are what anchor the estimates for each route.
  3. Click "Save changes".

If the column stays empty, check that estimates are turned on and that the pharmacy address is properly set up (GPS coordinates saved).

How do I view routes on the map and navigate with GPS?

Two distinct features: the map to view, the GPS to navigate.

Viewing the route on the map:

  1. In the Deliveries view, click "Map" in the "List / Map" selector: the displayed deliveries (with the filters applied) appear on the map along with the route path and the pharmacy's location. "List" returns to the table.
  2. The driver has the same "List / Map" toggle in their view: the map shows their route with the stops numbered in the order they're visited.

Navigating with GPS (driver side):

  • On mobile, just tap the address on the delivery map; on a computer, click the "GPS" button. In "Driving Mode", a giant GPS button is available for the current stop.
  • The navigation app opens with the driving route: Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps elsewhere.
  • The destination is a precise GPS coordinate, not a text address: if a "GPS stop point" has been defined in the client's record (a building's rear entrance, a loading dock), that exact point is targeted; otherwise, the geocoded location of the address is used.

To define a stop point: client record > "Addresses" tab > "Adjust GPS stop point", then drag the pin on the mini-map.

How do client SMS and consent work?

The system can text your clients: a driver departure SMS ("I'm leaving", 40-minute window) and an automatic SMS to the next client on the route.

Three conditions must be met for a client to receive an SMS:

  1. Consent is recorded on their profile: check "SMS consent" and choose the required opt-in method (verbal, signed paper form, digital/online form, or inbound SMS). The date and the person who recorded it are tracked automatically.
  2. At least one of their numbers has the "Can receive SMS" box checked (Phones tab of the profile).
  3. They have not unsubscribed: a client who replies STOP (or ARRÊT) is unsubscribed automatically and their numbers are blocked. If they reply HELP (or AIDE), they receive an information message. These keywords work at all times.

Turning it on (under "Settings" > "SMS" tab):

  • Toggle "Enable SMS notifications" and, if desired, "Notify the next client automatically", then click "Save".
  • "Test mode" (available on this page) redirects all SMS to your test number, prefixed with [TEST] — no real client receives anything while it is checked. Use "Send test SMS" to check it, then uncheck it when you are ready to send for real.

How do I use the calendar and recurring deliveries?

The "Calendar" tab gives you a monthly view of your deliveries: colour-coded dots by status, recurrences in a compact format, a per-day counter, and "This month" and "Recurring" statistics at the bottom.

  • Navigate from month to month with the chevrons; "Today" brings you back to the current month.
  • Click any day to open the Deliveries view filtered on that date; the + key creates a delivery for that day.

Create a recurrence (for example, a weekly pill pack):

  1. Open the client's record in the "Clients" directory, "Recurring" tab, then "New recurrence".
  2. Choose the frequency ("Daily", "Weekly", "Every 2 weeks", "Monthly" or "Custom"), the days, the start date, the time slot ("Morning", "Afternoon", "Evening" or specific times), the address, the payment and the amount.
  3. Click "Create". Deliveries are generated automatically for the next 30 days.

Every morning, the day's recurring deliveries appear with an orange "Recurring" badge: click "Confirm" (and enter the amount if payment is cash or card) to make them ready.

To edit or delete a recurrence (pencil and trash icons), the system asks whether the change applies to the "template and deliveries" already created or to the "template only".

How to manage the client directory (profile, addresses, phone numbers)?

The "Directory" tab centralizes all of your clients' information.

  • Search by name, phone or address (results appear after 300 ms); click a row to open the profile.
  • "+ New client" creates a profile: only the first name and last name are required.

The profile is organized into tabs:

  1. "Information": email, date of birth, "Default receiver", default payment method, permanent instructions, internal notes, and the "SMS consent" box. Unchecking the "Active client" box gently archives the client (an "Inactive" badge appears); the "Delete" button permanently erases the profile.
  2. "Addresses": type 3 or more letters in the address search — the suggestions are sorted by distance from the pharmacy and automatically fill in the city, postal code and GPS position. Complete the apartment, door code, building type and floor. The "Adjust GPS stop point" button opens a mini-map: drag the pin to exactly where the driver should stop (back entrance, loading dock, parking lot) — that is the point their GPS will aim for. Mark the main address with "Default".
  3. "Phones": add the numbers (10 digits), choose the "Default" one and check "Can receive SMS" on the numbers you want to text.
  4. "History": past deliveries with their status and amount.
  5. "Recurring": the client's recurring deliveries.

Remember to click "Save": closing the profile without saving asks for no confirmation.

How do I import clients from a photo or PDF (AI Import)?

AI Import turns a photo or PDF of a client list (a paper list, an export from another program) into client records, with recurrences if you go through the Calendar.

  1. Click the purple "AI Import" button at the top of the "Clients" view (clients only) or the "Calendar" view (clients + recurrences).
  2. "+ New task": choose one or more files (a PNG/JPG photo or a PDF), add an optional instruction and, from the Calendar, the start day and the recurrence interval (7 days by default). Click "Create task".
  3. On the "To process" task, click "Extract": the artificial intelligence reads the documents and the status changes to "To review", showing the number of clients found.
  4. Click "Review": correct the first name, last name, address, city, postal code and phone directly (saved automatically when you leave the field). Rows highlighted in red flag an uncertain reading — check them. Uncheck the rows you want to skip (duplicates, headers).
  5. Click the green "Create clients" button (or "Create clients + recurrences" from the Calendar), read the summary, then "Finish".

Nothing is created before step 5: you keep full control over what goes into your directory. If the "Extract" button shows "AI key not configured", contact support.

How does payment reconciliation work (cash report)?

The "Reports" tab is used to close out each driver's cash at the end of the day: one cash session per driver, created automatically as soon as they have made a delivery.

Each session compares the expected amounts (calculated from the deliveries completed that day, by payment method) with the actual amounts counted:

  1. The driver opens "Reports" (their session for the day, with the date locked to today) and enters the counted amounts: "Cash" and "Card" — or "Debit" and "Credit" separately, depending on your configuration. The "Variance" recalculates live.
  2. Depending on the configuration: opening float, denomination count (the cash total calculates itself), "Tips" (excluded from the variance), "Deposit slip", notes.
  3. They check "I certify this cash-out is accurate" if the attestation is required, then click "Reconcile". If the variance is within tolerance, the session turns to "Reconciled" (green); otherwise "Variance" (red).

On the pharmacy side: choose the date, filter by driver or "Variances only", and review the "Day summary" (expected, actual, variance). The administrator can correct a closed session and reconcile it again. "Recalculate" re-aggregates the expected amounts after a delivery is completed late.

Everything is configured in "Settings" > "Reconciliation" (administrator): cash, denominations, separate debit/credit, capture at delivery, tips, granularity, tolerance, attestation.

How do I create my team's accounts and manage roles?

Your team's accounts are managed under "Settings" > "Users" tab.

  1. Click "Add".
  2. Fill in the Name and Email, choose the account type and a Password (minimum 8 characters).
  3. Click "Create". The new row appears with a coloured role badge.

The four account types:

  • "Admin": full access, including pharmacy configuration.
  • "Pharmacy Staff": manage deliveries and clients (pharmacists and pharmacy technicians).
  • "Driver": designed for the driver interface; if your instance has several pharmacies, you can assign it a primary pharmacy and secondary pharmacies.
  • "Accountant": focused on payment reconciliation (Reports tab).

To edit an account, click the pencil icon (leaving the password blank keeps it). The trash icon deletes an account after confirmation — you cannot delete your own.

Good to know: some Settings tabs are reserved for the administrator — "Route boxes", "Reconciliation", "Devices" and "Workstations". As a general rule, pharmacy configuration is handled by the administrator account.

How does quick login with a PIN work?

Quick login with a PIN is designed for shared workstations at the counter: everyone signs back in by typing their PIN, without re-entering their email and password.

Setting up your PIN:

  1. After a full login, a "Choose a PIN" dialog appears: type 4 to 6 digits, then "Activate" (or "Later").
  2. You can also do it later under "Settings" > "Quick Login" > "Set up", and then "Change PIN" or "Disable".

Day to day:

  • On a device where a PIN is set up, the login screen prompts for your PIN directly; you can also pick your name from the list of users, or go back to your password with "Sign in with password".
  • The lock icon in the header locks the session when you step away from the counter: when you come back, type your PIN and you land exactly on the page you were on.
  • The session locks automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.
  • F8 or Ctrl+Q signs you out completely, from any page.

After several wrong PINs, entry is temporarily blocked. The PIN is specific to each device; the administrator manages the authorized devices under "Settings" > "Devices" (rename, permanent trust, "Revoke").

How do I print delivery slips?

Every delivery can be printed as a slip: sequence number, client, address, amount to collect, and a space for the client's signature.

To print an individual slip:

  1. In the Deliveries view, click the printer icon at the end of the row.
  2. A preview of the slip appears; click "Print" to open your browser's print dialog.

To print in batch (for example, all the morning slips):

  1. Click "Selection" in the toolbar: the list switches to multi-select mode.
  2. Check the deliveries you want by clicking their rows, or use "All" in the selection bar ("None" deselects everything).
  3. Click "Print" in the selection bar: the preview shows all the slips, one page per delivery.
  4. Click "Print" to launch the browser's print dialog, then choose your printer.

Tip: "Selection" mode is also used to manually assign several deliveries to drivers ("Assign"). The X or clicking "Selection" again exits the mode.

Staff guide — Help, subscription and troubleshooting

How do I relaunch the getting started guide and watch the tutorial videos?

The first time you log in, a getting started guide opens automatically. It walks through the essential actions for your role: creating a delivery, the counter queue (F4) and auto-assign for staff; taking possession, DELIVERED/RETURN and GPS navigation for a driver; payment reconciliation for an accountant. For an administrator, it also includes a day-one setup checklist (pharmacy address, password, team accounts, SMS, first delivery).

You can close it at any time ("Skip training" or Esc): it won't reappear at login, but you can relaunch it anytime.

To relaunch it or train yourself:

  1. Click the "?" icon in the header to open the Help Center.
  2. In the "Getting started guide" card, click "Open".

The Help Center also contains:

  • "Tutorial videos": short, roughly 20-second demonstrations of real actions, with subtitles — click a thumbnail to play the video.
  • "Quick reference": an accordion FAQ covering the deliveries list, creating deliveries, clients, assignment and SMS.
  • The "Keyboard shortcuts" table and the support form.

How to reach support (ticket or email)?

Two ways to reach the 1Rx team.

Open a support ticket from the application (recommended):

  1. Click the "?" icon in the header to open the Help center, Support section.
  2. Fill in the "Subject", choose the "Category" (Technical, Billing, Feature request, Bug report, General) and describe the issue in "Description" (minimum 10 characters). The more specific you are (which view, which client, what time), the faster the reply.
  3. Attach a "Screenshot" if needed (image only, maximum 5 MB).
  4. Click "Submit": a reference number appears in green.

Track your tickets: in the "My tickets" card of the Help center, click a ticket to expand it — you'll see its status ("Open", "In progress", "Resolved", "Closed") and the conversation thread with the support team. Replies appear directly in this thread.

By email: write to support@1rx.ca. The "Contact us" button under "Settings" > "Subscriptions" (the "Need help?" card) opens your email software directly to this address.

Where do I manage my subscription, trial and invoices?

Everything happens under "Settings" > "Subscriptions" tab.

There you'll find:

  • Your current plan with its status ("Active", "Trial", "Grace", "Expired") and, during the trial, the number of days remaining. The free trial lasts 45 days, with all features included and no card required.
  • The "Compare plans" grid (Essential, Premium, Ultimate) with the features and prices shown right on the page — that's the reference to check for pricing.
  • "Activate payment": opens a secure payment page to save your payment method; then, "Manage my subscription" opens the portal where you can change your card or your plan.
  • The "Invoices" section: the list of your invoices with their status ("Paid", "Open"…) and a "View" link for each one.
  • "SMS usage this month": SMS sent, SMS included in your plan and any overage — SMS beyond your plan are billed the following month, at the rate shown on the page.
  • The list of "Active applications" on your instance.

During the trial, a banner reminds you of the days remaining; when it expires, a screen invites you to "Choose a plan". For any billing question, open a support ticket (category "Billing") or write to support@1rx.ca.

Common problems: unassigned delivery, text message not received, blank arrival times…

The most common cases and how to solve them:

  1. A delivery isn't assigned to a driver: make sure a route box is active for the current time slot (the "Drivers and boxes" banner in the Deliveries view, or "Settings" > "Route boxes"). Without an active box, nothing gets assigned. Auto-assignment only applies to the current day, and in the morning, afternoon deliveries wait for the afternoon route. If needed: "Selection" > check the boxes > "Assign".
  2. A client isn't receiving text messages: "Test mode" may still be on (Settings > SMS) — in that case, every text message goes to the test number. Also check the "SMS consent" in their profile, the "Can receive SMS" box on their number, and that they haven't replied STOP.
  3. The "Est. arrival" column is blank: turn on "Enable arrival time estimates" in Settings > Pharmacy and make sure the pharmacy's address is set up (GPS coordinates).
  4. F4 does nothing: you must be in the Deliveries view, with no window open.
  5. Today's recurring delivery doesn't appear: make sure the template is "Active" in the client's profile, "Recurring" tab; the day's occurrences carry a "Recurring" badge to confirm.
  6. Red "Configuration required" banner: click "Configure now" and enter the pharmacy's address.

Still stuck? Open a support ticket.

How do I install the driver app on a driver's phone?

The driver app comes in two native versions, iPhone and Android. They do the same thing: just pick the one that matches the phone in your hand.

iPhone — free on the App Store: 1Rx Driver. Search for "1Rx Driver" in the App Store, tap "Get", then open the app. Step-by-step guide: aide.1rx.ca/app/ios/en/.

Android — direct download from aide.1rx.ca/app/android/en/: the app is not distributed through the Play Store. Tap the orange button on that page, allow your browser to "install unknown apps" once, open the downloaded file, then tap "Install". If a "unverified app" warning appears (Play Protect), choose "Install anyway" — that is expected for an app distributed outside the store.

With nothing to install — the driver interface of the website works in the browser of any phone: the driver signs in at your pharmacy's address and opens the "Driver" tab. That's the fallback when installing is not possible.

In all three cases the driver signs in with the account created in Settings > Users — the app finds your pharmacy on its own from the email address. The text message invitation sent to the employee already includes an install link.
